Doesn't that just look incredible?! |
Anywho, one night Braden and I were visiting our neighbors, Marlies and Dillon Hill. We decided to all go get Hokulia together. It was all good and dandy until the drive home. Dillon is driving, Marlies in the front seat, and Braden and I were in the back. I feel something on my hand. Now, it's dark by this point, so I can't see what it is. I figured it was a fly or something, so I brush it off. A second later, I feel it on my leg. Again, I just try and brush it off. Then, I feel it on my other leg. I try to flick it off, and Marlies turns on a light so we can try to see what it is. By this point, I was pretty sure it was a spider. I had unbuckled my seat belt, and scooted over as close as possible to Braden. Marlies finally sees it, and starts screaming. Lo and behold, it was a spider. But not just a regular little guy. It was huge, and it was like white/silver. For some reason, it's coloring freaked me out even more. The spider starts crawling up the seat, and I wanted to get out of there! Braden was bending down to see the spider, and I scooted over to sit on him. But since he was bending down, I ended up sitting on his back/neck, putting him in a position where he literally can't move much. Dillon rolls the window down thinking we can just try to flick the spider out the window. This car next to us has their windows down, and just gave us strange looks considering all the screaming coming from the car, and the fact that I'm sitting on Braden's neck by this point. Marlies kept telling Dillon, "Honey, pull over! We need to get the spider out. Dillon, pull over!" Both of us were screaming, and Braden and Dillon just kept laughing thinking it was hilarious. I rode the rest of the way home sitting on Braden's back/neck/head area. When we got back to our apartment complex, Braden squished the spider and we got it out of the car. It was all quite comical, despite the fact I felt thoroughly violated :)
Braden and I also found a baby bird outside yesterday! The poor thing couldn't fly, and he was shaking so bad. We tried to feed him some cream of wheat mixed with a little water, and moved him to a safer place than we found him.
Braden's sister Cassie, her husband Kenny, and their brand new baby Carter just moved to Utah. It has been fun to spend time with them, and get to know Carter. He is so handsome!
Braden and I also went to the Loveland Living Aquarium. It was really fun!
It was a small spider by the way.
