First off, I keep meaning to do some sort of video tour of the apt, or pictures or something! But, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. It will happen before the end of the year!
Braden decided to shave his beard. And we thought we would shave it in stages and have a little fun.... :)
Those last two pictures gross me out so much... I can't even....yeah. Let's all take a moment to be grateful he shaved the entire thing off! (Although, if you wanna know a secret, I miss the beard. I didn't think I would, but I think he looks like a small boy without the facial hair. Don't tell.)
We are slowly adjusting to Provo, and getting to know others in our ward. We have had a few couples over for FHE in the past weeks, and that has been so fun! My visiting teachers came today, which I was so grateful for. There were so many semesters at college when I never knew who my visiting teachers were, and so I really appreciated these girls coming to visit me! It is such a blessing to be a member of the church, and to be able to make friends wherever we go.
This past weekend we had a few skype calls to family members:

These are my new twin nieces, Sage and River. Aren't they so precious? :) Congratulations to Brad and Amelia on doubling their family in a day! |

Then we skyped these lovely people. My brother Jared, and his wife Whitney. |

To finish it off, we skyped Braden's parents in Rexburg. This time, we used google plus and had fun experimenting with all of the effects :) Entertainment comes easily around the Dennis Household. |
We have enjoyed experimenting with a few recipes lately - sugar cookie bars (tastes just like sugar cookies, but without all the work!), kale chips, and a cheesy ham and potato casserole. Here is the Sugar Cookie Bars for anyone interested.
My preschoolers are funny. Here is one of the highlight quotes as of recent.
Preschooler: My mom is coming to pick me up at 1 today.
Me: I wish I could see my mom at 1 today.
Preschooler, mouth dropping open in shock: Your mom's not dead yet?!?
haha. Still makes me laugh. I wonder how old she thinks I am....
Since Thanksgiving is this week, I decided to share a few of the things we are grateful for.
- I like to listen to the BYU-Idaho devotionals every Tuesday. This week, my laptop died literally 2 seconds after the closing prayer ended. I didn't even realize it was low on battery, but it made me happy that it lasted long enough for me to hear the final 'amen'.
- We both have jobs, and come December, we will both officially be college graduates! It is nice to not be completely starving, and to have more than we really need.
- For student housing, we really live in a nice place, for a good price. It was truly a miracle that we managed to snap the apartment when we did. If we had called even an hour later to see if the complex had openings, we would have lost our chance.
- Technology! Without it, we wouldn't be able to skype our families and see their cute faces on a regular basis.
- Kale. I love kale chips, and kale is so good for you!
- Having a temple so close to us. Actually, having several temples close to us! It has been a blessing being able to go on a weekly basis, and help serve others.
Well, we love you all. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
